I have a 180 gallon Oceanic Tank with dual over flow in each corner . How do i remove one with out it removing the caulking on the bottom? the sides are easy and i think it will be fine to do it but were the over flows meets the bottom on the side and back it looks like the caulking was put down right up to the overflow. So if I remove the over flow will it break the caulking? Is there a way to do this easy? I would just leave the bulkheads in and hopefully be fine. I want to remove one becaue I want the space and i only use one anyways.

BUMP

long razor blades lots of elbow grease and time and a little pressure you should be able to get them out the overflows were the first thing out when i resealed my 125 wasnt bad just took time

well my biggest thing is are the overflows installed after they seal the tank? do they seal it then seal the overflow? i just dont want to get to the bottom of the tank and ruin the seal on the side and back were the over flow sits. know hwat i mean.

if that was me ..i just leave it like the way it is ....big tank like that two overflow is always better.oceanic make 2overflow box for that tank for a reason..beside why messing with it can cause more problem..but that just my 2cents

the overflows on my tank were put in after the tank was sealed

They should come out with a little bit of cutting and a little effort. But I have to agree with those who thik you should leave it in there. Hook both of the overflows up, step up the pump output and get a bunch of fish in there.
