I should be ready to add fish to my 180 next week. I'm planning on stocking it with the fish listed below and in the order that they're listed. I'm looking for suggestions or comments on compatibility and the order they're being added.

2 Yellow Tangs
Blue Hippo Tang
Powder Blue or Brown Tang (one or the other not both)
Volitan Lion
Emperor Angel
Huma Huma

I want to introduce them at the 3" to 4" range. What do you think?

id shoot for the powder brown, I haven't seen to many of them in my area. besides, you'll already have some blue in the tank lol. Otherwise sounds like a pretty good stock list for starters. IDK if id add all them at once but at least the tangs so they don't fight with each other.

Add one at a time to see how its working out but I think with the yellow tangs you might want to go with either one or three to distribute agression. With the angel I would wait until your tank is fully established at least a year. I would also forget the trigger, or get a trigger like a Niger, Blue Throat, or if you had the cash i would say Cross Hatch. Another cool fish you might want to consider is a harlequin wrasse

lion-angel-tangs-trigger? maybe?

Biggrourami, you think the angel would be more aggresive than the tangs? I was unsure of when to put the lion in but I thought the tangs would be least aggresive. I guess that's why it pays to ask first.

Thanks everyone for the responses.

i should have put it better, but id say add the tangs at once to avoid any dominance issues but not the first inhabitants in the tank. It would be better if the tangs could be added last because of the amount being added, to avoid any majore impact on your tank because its new. Angels can get very mean in some cases, rare but ive heard some horror stories. I also feel that in a 180 a trigger would be fine with the combo just watch him and the lion to make sure theres no nipping or anything.

Thanks sweeTang21. I understand now. I was also thinking of the powder brown because of the blue hippo being...well...blue. My lfs had two this week about 4" in size for $60. Good deal?

no i think the 3 tangs will more than a handful as opposed to the angel.. that's why i said to add the angel before the tangs

I would ditch the angel... and go with more tangs to even it out. The ol' 1-3+ rule like mentioned by googz. Be careful which trigger you get, some get much larger than others. I may be a little biased though...I'm a tang freak. :)
