This is my first time posting to mfk. Long time reader. First my experience is up to 400gallon with large catfish, knife fish, pacu and various cichlids.
Ok so I'm building a house and plan on building a fish tank into the basement foundation. Also note the farm is running a permanent exotic animal exhibit/ rescue. Pretty much extending the foundation out 10ft beyond the house and walling it off with plexy (thick plexy). Also already checked on legality of it.
So details:
Freshwater dirty tank.
Filtration will be a sump system partially hidden in wall and a few 30 gallon heavily planted tanks along the walls.
Fish:
Redtail hybrid
Arrowanna
Aba Aba
Wistful fantasy of a musky.
Pacu
Green terror's or jack demises.
Currently have a hybrid red tail, asian red tail, bgk, two green terrors, hybrid jack Dempsey, fire mouth, Texas, what looks like a congo bichir but I'm pretty sure is an armored, 3 rope i plan on keeping some in the tanks I mount along the wall as part of the sump system. Mostly likely add the hybrid red as part of the main tank.
Opinions on fish and set up welcome. Could use any help I can get.
