So i have 2 55 gallon tanks right now but i need to move my arrowana shortly hes getting large, i was reccomended a 180g tank. I also was thinking about buying a stingray to put in there with my aro, and maybe another aro. What All would i need for 180g? I was told a canister filter, was better, i just have never owned a huge tank, and i dont want to mess it up. Thanks

It all depends on how you have the tank positioned and preference. HOB filters work well, but you would need 3 large ones. Maybe Aquaclear110's. Canisters work the same with out all the equipment showing. I suggest you get the tank drilled and research sump type filtration with maybe canister.

i was just thinking about maybe a 75g and working my way up to it, i just dont want to get myself into something and end up killing my fish...i would be extremely angry but im going to do as much research as i can

If you get a 180g and want 2 Fluval 405s, do you need drilled holes?

Don't know who recommended the 180G tank but you should get something with at least a 30" width tank for Aros. Depending on what rays you want, most need the extra width too. So maybe a 240G or larger or you can custom build a tank.
