180g Lima?

I was going to set up a 180g SA/CA tank with

4 ocelli peacock bass
1 cincta pike cichlid
1 oscar
1 juruense catfish

and i wanted to add another catfish into the mix. I have seen limas and was thinking about adding one. Would one fit in this tank? And also what is the growth rate on these guys? And what is the diet for these guys?

a lima would fit. but...may be pushing it as far as stocking goes. he won't outgrow it, just seem a little full imo.

or up you filtration and water changes.

it all depends on how you handle your bio load. I have never personally had o. bass before but i do know that the lima does not have any real way to defend itself.

ya, but there will be a ton of hiding spots with driftwood, and rocks and everything. And i will have plenty of filtration.

then by all means give it a try! it all comes down to how you feel agbout the situation. i say go for it!

Lima would be fine. Just be prepared to run some top notch filtration and some frequent water changes, cause that tank will get dirrrrty real quick, regardless of the addition of a Lima

As long as you got enough filtration, a Lima will be fine in that tank.
