I've been putting together a peacock aquarium and have a couple questions. First I'd like to know how many I should stock. I know that they live in and prefer to be in large numbers relative to other fish but I don't want to overstock and have to get rid of any. My tank is 180 gallons (6ft long and its the "tall" type so its slightly taller than it is deep)
Secondly, I want to raise the pH. I have a ton of nice lace rock in there already and don't want to add any limestone or anything into it. The substrate is aragonite sand but I'm not sure if it enough to get the proper pH. I notice most people have sand and lace rock in their malawi tanks so maybe its enough? I'm just trying to make the best environment possible.
Thanks
