180g middle to top swimmers?

I was going to set up a 180g with 5-6 frontosas, 1 male the rest females, and either a juruense catfish or 3-4 species of synos.

I wanted to get a fish that occupies the mid to top levels. Any input would be much appreciated.

Go with the Synos unless you have a larger tank i'm sure you've heard that a Jur will out grow our tank eventually

I'd go with an African pike charachin or a chalceus

alright thats what i was worried about. What are some bigger types of synos like over 10-12"? And i like the african pike but would there be any aggro towards the fronts? and can you give me some info on these guys?
