180g tank with sand question??

So i just got my new 180 g tank up and running i went with sand instead of gravel cleand it put it in the tank filled it and ran.the filter going on two days amd still cloudy so my question is how long for the sand to settle and the water to clear ?

Did you give it ago of rinse? Could be a few more days depending on the type of sand and grit size I change my filters every day while putting sand that way they don't get clogged with all the dust

You can use some crystal clear.it comes in a four oz bottle i believe but if you used play sand it will take fur ever

Ok i got up for work right now and checked and its clearing up ill probly clean the filter today just to make sure it doesnt clogg im not sure the kind of sand i got it from a lfs and i told them it was for freshwater they said what they gave me was good i have all the bags at home so ill check when i get off from work.

Yeah, if you didn't rinse it, it could take a couple days.
 
I used pool filter sand and it took over a week for it to finally clear up - and i spent a couple of hours washing it before i put it in.

I had one brand of pfs clear up in a few hours and another take a couple days even though I rinsed both very well. But if you. Didn't rinse the sand it could take along time to clear and every time you stir the sand it's gonna make a cloud storm in the tank.
