I've long wanted a planted tank, but never had fish that would allow me to, but i decided to give it a shot anyway with the Umbee's tank.

I ordered 10 bundles of Vallisneria Americana sp. "Tiger" to go in the background and they should arrive on tuesday, but i thought i'd throw up the thread now so the difference can be seen when it's finished.

If you have any tips or ideas for me feel free to express them, because i'm still a novice when it comes to plants.

Thanks, yes them geo's can definatly make a mess of things with all theire digging/sifting. The anubias sp. should eventually grow along the wood, essentially covering most of the driftwood

I think the tank looks AMAZING !!! Only recommendation I would say would be to add some more pebbles to the sandy area directly in front of the 2 big rocks.... Just something I would do but regardless I think you did a fantastic job

Looks amazing dude but I can't imagine planting anything in my Umbee tank. They are one of the biggest diggers I've ever owned... I have to blast the sand from the top of the rocks/driftwood every other day with a turkey baster because it looks like a storm hit the tank lol.

Thanks! Yeah, mine would dig a bit before aswell, but the plants are tied pretty good to the wood, and the ferns are wedged between the rocks so they can't be dug up, or atleast that's what i'm hoping, haha.
