Picked up a mint 72x24x30 acrylic tank for my cichla. Building my stand as we speak. My main purpose to start this thread is to get your opinions and to soak up any ideas and advice you guys might have for this tanks filtration. I pretty much have my mind set on running a Hayward s180t bead filter attached to a reeflo dart, ideally I will be running a 40breeder sump as well for mechanical filtration (filter socks, occasional carbon, ceramic rings). Any of you guys have experience or knowledge of this Hayward s180t? Will it give me the best bang for my buck? Is there another more efficient bead filter out there with around the same price tag as the s180t? Just trying to make this setup as satisfying as possible for both me and my cichla.
