Ok I HATE to write this but I think My car is going to go up for sale here before August. My job informed me tonight that with the shi** economy they are going to try to get rid of ppl for everything. Which means the plant manager is going around the shop trying to get ppl to talk to him. Then fire them for talking and not working. (pretty carppy huh.)

So I thought I would post this b/c if worse comes to worse this car has to go. So I can get rid of my debt and just worry about the house payment.

My car is a 1972 Chevy Corvette Stingray

32000 Titled miles
T-Tops
Removable rear window
original rally wheels
about 4000 worth of speed parts in motor last summer
Have all original mortor parts also (including factory AIR)

Also a crap load of new parts I have not put on yet

This is what the car goes for on NADAs website

I have got a apraisal on this car about three years ago and it was only worth 15000 then. so you can see that is has jumped to over 40000 for an average price (this car is above average)

With this in mind I might be looking to get rid of this car for $50000.
AND I DO NOT WANT TO SELL I ONLY AM LISTING IN FEAR OF LOSING MY JOB! so if you think the price is high tuf this car is my baby and I DO NOT want to get rid of her.

Plz no flame for the price and no B.S. if interested just PM me and I can get you more pics or a new apraisal to prove what the car is worth.

P.S. this is just out there for now to see if anyone might be interested. If someone wants to buy this car for $50000 I might be willing to sell.

Thank you edwin. this car means the world to me. I don't want to let it go and really hope I end up not having to push the issue and sell her. Ever see the barrett jackson auctions where the guys cry when selling there cars. Yeah thats going to be me if this car leaves my posetion.

If the car was black and 'vert, you could be parked in Hollywood and be singing Edwin Starr's War

Nice car by the way. Good luck to you, bro.

Hope you don't lose your job and have to sell your baby....beautiful vette!!!!

So I take it, this car is never driven and a classic collectors car despite all the mods?

My dad and I are in the market for an older vette.

No I drive it just not much b/c It is stored at my parents house b/c I do not have the extra garage room. I put about 1000 miles a year on it since I have had it. but it was down for one full summer b/c of all the mods. And I don't like taking it to shows. I have found that either I or the car don't get any respect from the "old" car guys. either my car is to new Or I am to young. So this car only goes to one show a year and thats the local one. And the only reason I take her there is to piss off the people I went to school with. LOL

P.S. thanks for all the kind words guys I really hope the job amd me don't part but the pant I have been working in is going straight to the crapper.

When I did all the mods I did it so it was the loudest thing I could get my hands on slopy cam, cam gears, full length headers, true duals with 2 1/2" pipe and 40 series flows.

TWO WEEKS after I got the 40 series flowmaster cam out with the delta 44 and say its louder then the 40s I was pretty hot about that. but nothing I could do

Nice vette one of my favorite years! I hope you don't lose your job and have to sell her.

Hold on until after the election and then this bad economy as we are being told ( I know certain sectors are down, but not all) . Then the recession will miraculously disappear from the news and things will continue on....Hooray for the Presidential “winner” they saved us!:nilly::naughty::nilly::popcorn:
