Hey guys, I have a 1 gallon tank with my betta Quagmire (giggity) and i would like to add some shrimps to it. Quag is mildly aggressive and i trust him not to eat the shrimp:screwy:. Im leaning towards red cherrys but i also like ghosts if needed. I have 1 fake plant but willing to add Java Fern if absolutely needed. So how may reds/ghosts can i put in my tank. Also what should i feed them. And 1 more thing,do I need to put my filter in the tank. I have a under gravel filter :banhim: will a really loud air pump that I took out do to to noise. :nilly:

Thanks in advance!

I agree with Mgamer20o0. I would get a larger tank for the shrimps and definately have a filter as shrimps are intolerant to adverse water conditions. Real plants are necessary, as shrimps can graze algae off of them and it also helps with water quality. Start with Ghost Shrimps and then go onto cherries or other Neocaridinia species. Any other questions, PM me
