Here is my first 3D background project.
If I can get the pics to work...
I started out with a 4ft x 4ft sheet of 4in thick styro.
For the protruding rock edge on the left, and the tree stump I atatched a 6in thick piece on each end.
A 2" by 3" for the "slate rock" chunk protruding let's me form a nice cavem
The first pics are stage 2, creating the rough form. The next are stage 3, shaping and carving.
I am starting stage 4 now, detail sculpting and surface prep. Pics on that soon to follow.
Let me know your thoughts, opinions, and suggestions/advice.
Although this is far from my first styro work, it IS my fist aquarium backgroundand the smallest piece I've ever done.
