Thats a wicked tank. Good to see those Oscars holding their own with those red bellies.

nice tank, love the way you set it up, especially the driftwoods.
if you have multiple oscars in there then I think they can hold ground for a while if not forever. They tent to lookout for each other, that's what I've noticed in my tank.
Good luck and post more pics/videos with updates. :)

What's the dimensions on that tank?

Nice monster tank you've got in there buddy.:headbang2

It calls my attention that you're keeping a couple of oscar fish along with the reds....it may work because of the huge room they have but not pretty sure if it could last forever though....

piranhas don't attack head on and usually from behind, so if there's a group of oscars then they could last a good amount of time unless the piranhas get really really hungry.
my 7-8" oscar is holding his ground very well against my 6" BDR, he even look after other oscars in the tank like a big brother.

They may not commonly attack the head but sometimes they do.

Once i gave my reds a coy and one of them acctually cought him by his mouth....

However a big oscar could look more intimidating that a coy, that is true...

actually you are correct that sometimes they do attach the head, but usually they go from behind especially if the prey is larger than they are. and oscar do have bigger mouth than piranhas :D
