1st Flowerhorn

Just wanted to share some pics of my new FH.


Got a great deal on the guy and he has a ton of personality. Like others have said on here, this is the first fish that I've taken home and he was immediately hungry and wanting food. Let me know what you think.

Looks nice and chunky. How long is he?

Right now he is around 5.5" long, and eating really well. He loves NLS pellets, krill, bloodworms, earthworms, crickets and algae waffers. My other cichlids loved carnivore pellets, this guy not so much. I'll be sure to post some more pics when he feels like posing.

Wild crickets could have parasites or pesticide on them.

Is there any other foods that your Flowerhorns like? I know the NLS will fill he nutritional requirements, but I want to offer a varied diet.

I use Hikari sticks and NLS. Once a month i give them meal worms too from the LFS.
