1st Red Tail Payara. What can I expect?

u cant get any in ur area w out getting one shipped to u? thats a little much. although, we get them all the time here. why no armatus 4 u?
Once you factor in shipping that is high. Were you located? Im in the middle of no where and I every now and then can find one with in a couple hours drive at least.

I have both and I agree too, if you can house it, spend the extra and get the Armatus...much much cooler fish
keep the water clean try to stay away from feeders and keep a bottle of ick medication or a box of salt handy and good luck
I agree with others who have posted, If i were you i would wait a bit, save your dough, and get an armatus. also that price is a little steep for a RTP

I dont want to get an Armatus cause I'm not going to get my big tank untill next yr (like late, if that). I don't want to get a fish that grows that quick and have to give him up. If and when I do, River Wonders is about 15min. away
. Thanks, but I can only house a Red Tail for now. Anyone know where there is a Red Tail Payara in SoCali? L Aquatics has one, but its in San Jose (a 5hr min drive) and its not worth the drive and might be cheaper to ship.

This is the first fish I ever seen with teeth and thought I had one when I bought my Junk scomb. Ever since, I;ve tried to nail a real Red but never could with out having to ship. And what happ, right before I ws going to give in and ship Bsixx hooked it up. You the man Big Dogg
