They are not indestructable and the addition of calcium or calcium rich food will help in shell production and strength.
Other than what has been mentioned^^^ your good to go.
BTW, certain snails require male and female to reproduce...population control.
Calcium in the water is a must. Avoid any copper containing medicines as they will kill your snails. Certain species reproduce very rapidly but usually only when the tank has an imbalance such as over-feeding, excessive algae, etc.
I personally have ramshorn snails and love them since they help reduce the amount of algae I have to clean out of my tanks.
They're dirty - DIRTY. I had mine 3 days before I couldn't stand the sludge and poo. (and they kept escaping because I have no top on the tank they were in)
That being said. They were really cool for the 3 days I had them. Move fairly quick, constantly exploring.
So my advice is: Make sure you have a top on your tank so they don't escape.
