2 1/2" Flowerhorn

Hi all, my husband has become infatuated with Flowerhorns and growing them up to their max potential. Just wanted to know what you all thought about this guy. He doesn't seem to have pearls, but his red is really showing through.

Looks very nice for 2.5". Are you buying these flowerhorn in Tennessee? I can't find any of decent quality around the Knoxville area.

That's going to be awesome! The reds will probably blind you, but it may lack pearls. Looks like it'll have quite a head on it as well

I agree with rally... This fish is gonna get intense reds and should get a decent head on him...

Yeah he is a good one. Not all FHs need pearls.

that a classic looking FH. at 2.5 inches, i would say its ok. the kok is starting to grow, red coloration is spreading nicely, full plums, body does not taper at the tail end and snout is short. though it lack pearls, its ok overall. nice catch!

hahahah my little has the same looking fh he bought at the lfs for 200.00 @ 4 1/2".
