hampala barb is popular right here in south east asia - it's native place where this fish is also a sport fish, good fighting on rod and line. and good for eating too. it can grow to probably to 15 inches or more..

Good to hear other people appreciate them sebarau, They don't get a whole lot of attention on this side of the globe for some reason. My hampala is getting close to 12" I think he will make it to 15" no problem. Strangely enough he will only eat massivore and sinking cichlid gold he ignores all the fresh seafood and nightcrawlers
