2-3 inch EBJD Powerhead HELP

hi guys i have a 20 gallon long grow out for my EBJD hes about 2 or 3 inches and their are 5 other F1 Dempsey with him. i put in a maxi jet 400 power head cause i heard if u put them in with a high protein diet he could grow faster and I've done this with other fish and it seems to work, but i know that jack Dempsey don't like to much flow should it take the power head out?

I have a powerhead and an ac 110 on my 29 gallon and if I don't dial back the filter and point the powerhead up toward the water surface he looks like he's in a blender. You could point the powerhead toward the surface and it might help you out.

What filter do you use? If use maxi jet 400 as power head that serve a prefilter then it will be fine. But if use as a circulation pump, I think it is a little to much

i have a aquaclear 30 it's been on for about a day they don't look like they are getting tossed around. but they constantly have to fight the current so its doing what i want, so i think its safe to have in so far.
