    [/TABLE]

    is it true???

I'm no piranha keeper but i feel like the last two are true and that i wouldn't keep any in any tank smaller then a 75 for that 18" depth.I have seen two full grown in like a 30-40g in a pet store and did they ever look cramped....

not 18inch it 12-13inch LOL. idk cause i saw one at my friend he have 3 in a 55 n 2 in 40 he said they look perfect healthy n all, they dont really bite each at all but idk im just going what that thing said. lmfao

You should be fine in a 55 gal. I don't keep rbp but my sister has for years she has 9 in one of her 75 gal (which I don't approve of) but they are healthy and aren't aggressive with each other.

Lol what are you talking about a 75g has a width of 18"..... yes they do work fine as a grow out but once they get around 10" they look tiny plus they are extremely messy so bigger the better. Plus a 55 is it only 12"

yeah im thinking of going AquaScapeOnline to get baby 1inch RB for 5 dollar each... but the shipping is soo much :( that the only website that i can get my RB

Once they hit 6" mark they slow down in growth. But in a few years time they will Max out, some get 8" some get 10" some bigger just depends on how they were raised.

Generally for piranhas more gallons the better due to the fact that their messy eaters (water quality), they grow fast, their extremely skittish and most importantly moving adult piranhas is a *****! 20-25gal/piranha is good but as said footprint is important! Width and length are more important then tallness!

Start with 4-5 babies, 1-2 will likely die to cannibalism and if not you can re-home them! Keep water fresh and make sure to provide adequate flow and filtration!

I have been keeping reds for about 17 years. They should do fine in a 55 gallon. It's sometimes better to raise them together but I have 8 that I have been putting together for about a year now. They are 7in to 10 in. I just added the last 2 10in to the shoal in may. I personally like to overstock my tanks. I keep them in a 125 gallon. Water changes are the most important part imo. I change 50% a week. If you do put them in a 55 over filter the crap out of it. They are very messy. Also try not to feed them live food. Get them on fillets and raw shrimp. If you have any questions, hit me up with a pm. I am always happy to talk piranhas.
