Ok so I got these tanks for 30 bucks total (I love flea markets) and Im building the stand tonight. There's 2 30 gallons and 2 ten gallons. The ten on the bottom will be a wet/dry sump for the 2 30s and the top 10 will be a hospital/quarantine tank and will be seperate from the system. I have a 780 gph pump to run the 2 30s that drops to a little over 400gph at 5 ft head. Im planning on using a 1" pvc DIY overflow in each 30 to drain into the sump. Media will be 2 gallons of pot scrubbies with filter floss on top that will drain into the 10g that will be divided into a refugium side with a glass overflow (or plexi pass through havent decided) for the pump and possibly a heater to reside in.
The 30s will be planted systems with 55w power compacts and diy Co2 injection, and will house peaceful community fish. Haha its weird saying that Ive NEVER had something that didnt have the word aggressive in its description.
am I completely off my rocker here or does this look pretty sound? Im building the stand and test filling the tanks tonight so advice would be awesome.
