I have a pair of cobra's around a foot in length and I want to put in a pair of lents with them in a 900 gallon tank. I know no one is going to have a definative answer but opinions would be nice. By the way, there are lots of other big cichlids in the tank.

:drool:900 Gallon:drool: Peanut will amend me on this but if you were going to house pairs or double pairs, then that tank should be fine.I mean 900 Gallons is like a 9 foot tank, right??

10 x 3 x 4 high. I would think the same thing but the cobra's are mean as hell.

You think the cobras are bad, you should try and keep a pair of lents. They are larger, more robust, and can really have a 'ttud!! In a tank that size it might work out for you, although the cobras being already established might be a little bit of a problem to say the least. Another thing is the lents will practically be able to eat the cobras when they are full grown...16" is not uncommon. Lenticulata are just bigger, more robust fish hands down. Cobras in comparison to them are more slender and less stocky. Its your call though....might be a little expensive as you will need to find lents that are at least within 2" of the cobras for it to work out better.

if the new lent pair it may work! but even then! if the lents get too big they will be too big for the cobras! but you never know! with the other large cichlids there are many other pssibilities!

what other cichlids do you have in there?

Peanut: did'nt know the lents got that big, thats got to be impressive.
wolf: bocourti, pearsi, managuense, devil, uropthalmus, v. regani, gramodes and a few p. bass

Aye yeah man, Crenicichla lenticulata, Crenicichla marmorata, Crenicichla cincta, and Crenicichla sp. 'venezuela' are some of the largest growing pikes available. Thick, robust, and full of 'tude. Not many fish can stand up to a full grown adult Lugubris pike....haha.

Thats not a tank youve got, Its a friggin swimming pool!
