Had a rescue this week, 8ish" silver that I had to add to the tank that holds my 14ish silver..

the little one is skinny but fierce and eating just fine but Margot (the bigger one) is harassing him.. the fins are in medium bad condition and he is missing maybe 2 scales or so tops.. she is not giving him any really hard bites but will chase him down from the surface..

so....

Will she kill him or is she just showing who's boss?

A quick "answer" would be great!

you should seprate them because arowana's are very aggressive towards each other
What is your tank size

if their are two arowanas in a tank especially a silver arowana...you may want to split them up as they don't do as well together...maybe if you have another or a couple Silver arowana's you may have been able to get away with aggression

well.. problem solved, the initial aggression is over.. nipped fins and 2 scales missing but now they are swimming side by side with no signs of aggression at all. I will keep an eye on them for sure but it seems fine..

thanks for the input!

haha.. yeah, thought it was a little bit quick as well.. but hey, I'm just grateful! :)

Update pictures will be up in the photo lounge asap!

I will keep both eyes on them sínce Margot is like my other girlfriend.. the tank is a 300 so there is space to hide, I am against dividers but I have a friend with a 200 gallon just aching for an aro so if there will be problems I can have him transported from water to water within 5 minutes..

pics in the photo lounge within an hour.
