just bought a 240 G and wanted to buy 2 pearl arros or black arrows to go in it.
the other fish would be 4 Indo dats, 1 american dat, 7 finger fish and 4 scats. 3 silvers and 1 ruby.
for catfish i am going to run 6 clown loaches.
now the water is only slightly brackish and will stay that way, but what has been you guys experince with 2 arros and other fish togeather?

I have been able to keep two silver aros together, but this is only one out of three tries. If you are going to atempt this you must have another tank on hand for if it does not work out.

thats kinda what i was thinking, 2 arros from the same tank rased togeather, in the 240 6x2x2.5 i do have an extra 100 g if it does not work 5x2x1.75 wich would be kinda small for him to be full size i know, but could be a holding tank to sell.
for the people who have had 2 arros or more in the same tank did you buy them at the same time as babies ? and did you get them to eat non-living foods ?

good luck with that. I would think having 2 competing for food would get them off of live more easily. I am hoping to put a jar and black together :screwy:

nope nothing to do with raised together... it is 100% luck....

take my black as a case point: he hates jars and silvers, even with three massive asains in the tank he would single out the silver and devastate it as soon as my back was turned... he is okish with my big rtg at the mo its just those two, every two days he gets snappy thou.... im going to see if the black will settle down after adding say four more sa aros after upgrade but i can see me having to move em pretty quick if im honest....

wow, just luck? that kinda sucks i know some people can keep silvers, and blacks together as in a pair of the same kind, but i have never herd of anyone doing it with jars i know atm there is not way of telling them apart. and i know the tank is big eneuff for one mad had a 3 foot black in a 175 but i was kinda hoping on gettin 2. maybe blacks if possible would be the better of the three.

if you put any 2 aros in the same type apart for silvers or black aros

they will rip each other to bits

if you put 2 jardini in the same tank it may last a week if you are lucky

and friend had a jar 4" n silver 6" go 6mnths in a 125g... but thats longest i known of a two aro combo with a jar involved lasting... silver got stunned thru stress but surprisingly he did save it.... its looking good now il get some pics sometime... the jar was sold....
