So I just got 3 new baby green terrors ranging around the one inch mark. They're already eating Hikari cichlid gold baby pellets, but I was just wondering what else I could feed for optimum growth... I figured frozen brine shrimp blood and black worms... But I was just also wondering what type of growth rate I can expect out of these guys?

I took out there fav. plant so I could get some clear shots... they're a little camera shy.

some people have been able to get their growing fairly quick but most seem to say about 1/2 an inch a month... blood worms/ normal worms krill ect are apparently the go just cut em into bite size pieces if nessicary

Thanks guys, every where I read it says females reach about 8" and males 12" is this about right? and 1/2 inch a month isn't bad...

That sounds about right. I've also found that the males grow MUCH faster than the females.

Krill, earthworms, and brine shrimp will really help these guys obtain optimal growth rates. I would say males 10-12" and 12" would be pretty large for a gt. I have also heard that massivore pellets will REALLY boost growth and bulk them up a little. Although you would have to wait until they get bigger for those. But the absolute best way to get them growing as i am sure you know is to have prestine water quality. Anyways beautiful green terrors, are they whitesaums???

Thanks man, I try to keep my larger fish on a varied diet. It's just a lot more tough when they're only around an inch you know? As far as exactly with breed of saum it is I'm really not sure. It was simply sold as "green terror" at my lfs and I am really knew to keeping gts so any info on that would be great as well.
thanX for the input everyone.:D

Gold Saum = red/orange edging on the tail and dorsal
White Saum/Silver Saum = White edging

Both are sold as "Green Terrors"

Nice little fish. look a little stressed still but they'll color up.:headbang2
