In search of Leiarius
would two blackghost knives get along in a 300 gallon stock tank if there was a hide for each fish that needed one in my tank.

i would say yes they would be okay because of the size of the tank....what about the tank mates... ghosts are on the delicate side so my only concern would be that they got enough food in such a large tank if they are babys....they should have plenty of blood worms so that means you should go right down into their cave area to feed them.. once they are older and or larger they will come out and get it..

:iagree:

my 2 didn't work in the 180gal i give it 50/50...my 2 were 10" when i added them to the tank...they had been together since 3" then at 10" they started fighting...i seperated them, then around 1month later added them to the tank together...fighting and then one got killed by my pbass...that was a few weeks to a month ago...then last night i saw my other one pinded down in a corner with the bass on it...choose tankmates wisely as some seem fine then just snap...the only thing that i had come out of the pbass incodent is while removing the bgk i measured it and it was up to 13" now...it is recooping in a 55gal...i may not reintroduce it to the big tank as the bass have beat them up before and killed one...i dont want to lose this one...

Tankmates would be 3 giant rapheals, 3 spotted rapheals and 2 shubunkins and 2 koi.

so nothing overly aggressive; maybe overly boisterous(goldfish and koi).

Yah I plan on babying the baby BGK's with their meals and hides until they choose to be outgoing.

Tank will get monitored daily since it will be indoors.

It will be a while since I am currently broke and job hunting.

Thanks everyone for the info, It is very much appreciated and Iam looking forward to picking out Black ghost knives.

coldwater with temp range of 30F to 88F.
