I have a fx6 and a c530 and rite now they are both doing both mech and bio filtration. Should i don't dedicate 1 for each function? If so witch one for mechanical? The c530 has 4 baskets and more flow and what seems to be less bypass. I also have a magnum 350 that i use the polishing filter in. Any and all input is greatly appreciated folks. Thanks.

Would leave it as it is, no reason to change if your parameters are ok, if you change the setup both filters will still do both functions although one may be better at one function than the other

I'd leave them the way they are, mechanical filter media will help keep the bio-media cleaner longer if correctly installed per the filter directions.

I would run the as designed. They are most effective that way.
