2 eels in one tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
From what I have wread, Tire Track's don't like their own kind. I'm not sure if it's the colour or just the look of an elongate fish that trigers their aggression. You could try itto see if it works.

hmmm, thought i'd get more responses. well yesterday i bought a tire track and a fire eel, both bout 6-8". well see how it goes. gotta get em to eat first, just bought some earthworms for em.

i've heard there aggressive twords there own kind but i haven't seen the combo in real life i'd say its worth a shot

If you see it don't work, you can easily ship the one you don't want to me. LOL

Ya be prepared to separate them.

I've seen some people that it works for and others it doesn't. I have a tire track and he is awesome but he can be aggressive, he definitely holds his own. I have a couple striped peacocks and he tends to pick on them sometimes, maybe since you got them at the same time they'll be cool together.

Aren't tiretracks supposed to get bigger than fires? I've heard that they don't work well with conspecifics.

And I don't think that it's the body type because my senegal's still alive :D

we had that combo at the store and they did fine. both had their own hiding place (the malaysian root driftwood, its all tangly) and they both ate frozen and pellets. good luck and keep us posted
