So i had a CL and glowlight tetra die today. They had rapid gill movement. Water parameters, just checked, are perfect. I have the airstone on and added some stress zyme. The other CLs seem fine now with the airstone, but my balloon molly has rapid gill movement. She's soo cute and comical, i'd be heart broken if she too died. Any ideas??????

I'm starting to think infection?????

Not from what i can tell. They look clean and the temp was raised to 86 degrees a while ago because i saw them ich. Maybe it spread to their gills? -_____-

What's perfect about your water parameters? Numbers are helpful.

Yeah, those are awesome parameters. Anybody burn candles in your house? Any sprays? This sounds like poisoning.

Thanks.
Yes, cleaning sprays. I used to burn candles but i haven't for weeks. The tank is on my desk, but i use disinfecting wipes to clean the desk. If it's poisoning is there anything i can do other than pray???? O.o????

95% water change. Dechlorinate new water as always. Be sure not to kill your BB.

if you use city water, it might be chlorine...even the littlest bit makes fish go crazy..

i have also heard of FW fish having a thing called Gill Flukes where the gills are slightly reddend, pump extremely fast, but stay partially open, to a point you may not notice..(Gyrodactylus) monogenetic trematodes

there could be metals or gas dissolved in the water...such as what knife was saying...foreign harmful gas that is taking the place of the air...when you do your water changes...rub your hands through the gravel, thoroughly...if you see any bubbles come out from there..then there is harmful gas trapped in the bottom.. and it is that easy to get out..just running your hands through there..

i hope this helps a little..and i hope you dont have any more casualties...good luck : /
