I know. =) Thats why FW was in "" :)
Ever heard of one that big?

KUDOs on getting one of these eels to such an impressive size. That's the biggest I've seen in decades.

I hope you can take the time to list your setup, maintenance, and dietary regimen for this species. It might prove invaluable to others who may wish to try raising these eels successfully.

for some reason, its only the people online who stick so hard on the "there not freshwater, make sure you add salt". my friend had one of these for over 3 years in complete freshwater and it was probably almost 30" when he finally sold it. awesome eel man, he looks great.

Hmm...Well. Was about 14''s when I got it...Kept in a crappy 10 gallon tank for a month with horrible water quality..:( Better than getting sold to the guy who wanted to feed it flakes though. Didn't eat for over 2 months. Currently is in a 20 long With a free reef light I got. About 78 degree. (best I can do at the moment) Only thing he'll eat is raw market shrimp. Won't even touch the ghost shrimp I have there. SPG is a little under 1.012. My hygrometer sucks.:D
He has white poop though...Internal parisite? What should I do for him?

that thing is really cool

Mean too. Bit me once. That was worse then getting bitten by a 3' python.
