Well some may know i went to a river the other day to catch some stuff, I didnt know what section to put this in so mods can move at will.
The story:
Yesterday, Me and a friend decided just to go down to the river and try to catch some animals(and maybe swim a little since the water was up.) So his dad took us and dropped us off. We went down and were walking on the banks, and it was COMPLETELY covered with Half Dollar sized toads. I had never seen so many in my entire life. SO we ignored them, trying not to step on them, and we found a long creek with unmoving water back in the trees. And The mud in this area was just so, soooft. You would sink 2 feet if you stayed still too long. And in this area we found even more toads, but that isnt the amazing part, all these toads were about the size of a month old human babies finger nails. Yea the were smal. We caught some and let them all go. And when we were walking along the creeks bank i almost caught a baby bull snake but that got away. And then my friend realised, I could throw some of this gooey mud at Tyler. So he did and it got in my hair( and i dont have short hair.) So I got some and backed him up and he fell in the creek, but i still put it in his hair, so he started chasing me with mounds of goo. And then I ran all the way back to the river and jumped on a submerged sandbar. SO he came out there and we just layed down in the water. Then We had The Idea of playing crocodile ( I know, I know We were acting like we were five.) We would submerge ourselves then un-submerge. Then we got out and were going to the grassy bank to catch Racerunners (Id courtesy Of Vicious_Fish.)So we were looking, and found maybe 20 in all, but werent able to catch any(way too fast.) But, A funny part of that was when i saw one and i was about to put my net down on it, A big bull snake bursted from its hiding spot right next to where i was standing, and I jumped like 5 feet back it freaked me out so bad. And after No luck of catching any lizards, We decided to go to the railroad bridge that was another 100 yards up the river. SO when we got there i ws going through the puddles. And I came to a dry one that was still muddy, But i guess the RES didnt know that and dropped in it to get away and went splat right into the mud, so i grabbed that 3 inch wide little guy, and my friend kept him. SO we just jumped in the river and floated back down to where our stuff was because his dad just drove onto the bridge. We were soaking wet so his dad had went back to go get towels right then, So i was just going to look through a few puddles. ANd In One i thought i saw a minnow, But it made a really long v-shape on top of the water. And when it stopped moving, it had the resemblance of a gar, yet the size of a minnow. So i netted it up, and sure enough it was a baby 2-inch long gar. Then his dad got back and we went home.
