2 in mono bass shipping question...

hey guys, so I'm contemplating shipping some fry in 2weeks, which should be approximately 2 in...I was reading that when shipping a fish, generally don't feed them for about 2 days to purge them...but can/will a 2 in mono survive 4 days without food? (2 days for shipping)

I have no experience what so ever. My first thought would be that a fish that might not survive 4 days without food wouldn't take 2 days to purge its system. Its metabolism should be fast enough that less time should be adequate.

thanks eric...my initial thought was that one day should be good which makes sense-but, being that it would be in a bag for 2 days....idk..

Nice i am sure24 hours would be fine and they can go a couple days without for sure ...I am sure they are nice and plump right now .....have not shipped fry but have recieved and they are lean for sure so venders may just do a two day.....

I always do 24 hours w/o food, but I've only done overnight shipping. I'd be more concerned with the ammonia levels than the hunger.

yea i had my pcock shipped to me he was really lean as well, and he shipped over night so im not sure, u could try calling customer support of a company like live aquaria, and asking them...
