I put a crayfish in for a treat for my big ray,He just ignored it.Now at feeding the crayfish will come down out of the driftwood and grab a bite of shrimp or worm.Today i saw him pinching the big rays nose?Keep in mind the crayfish has no front claws and just molted so he is very soft?I thought he would be a quick snack?Does anyone feed there rays crayfish?Do i have a wimpy ray?

That is very surprising to me that he would not eat him. I have never fed crays but know people who have. I would not worry about the cray doing damage. A 17" ray is a very powerful animal.

i and a fairly large cray in a tank with fish 3x its size and the cray was the only thing left after about 3 weeks! there tufff as helll!!!!!!

Ummm was this the first cray you have ever fed to your ray?

Crayfish are......TOUGH! I tell you the only thing that can kill them are Oscars and Puffers. Interesting.......
when soft they can be eaten by just about anything my large spiny eels , bichirs , ALL of my large cichlids and catfish love crayfish

Rays can be picky eaters so if it doesn't eat it then once it hardens up i would remove it if its not gone
