Hi, I have 2 Males currently in different tanks. I have a 8-10" one in a 200 gallon, 5ft x 2.5ft x 2ft tank. I also have a slightly smaller one in a 2ft Cubed, he's about 6-7". Now I know this is probably a no, but I kind of need the 55 gallon to grow out some datnoides an a Peacock Bass and don't want them in there with him. I do have other options but none as good as this tank. Does anyone have any experience of these living together, I've kept Gold saums for years myself, an never seen any aggression, except when the male is trying to breed with a female who's not ready. However I've also never kept males together. I'm not personally convinced the 200 is big enough, both fish will be going into a 14ft x 4ft x 2ft in a few months, which I'm sure will be fine, any experiences/thoughts?

This is the Larger guy - had him about 3 years

The tank they'd be in, not much wood but could add more

Smaller Guy - hes slightly bigger an more impresive now

In a 5 foot tank, it might work if you add more sight breaks as you mentioned...could always try it and keep a very close eye for over aggression; if its only slight chasing until the smaller (or larger) goes back to their claimed territory, with no tail splits etc, I'd argue thats a success

Thanks yeah, that was pretty much my thinking might give it a go later. Think I just need to hurry up an put the order in for the big tank :)
