A nice little buffler in the making, tnat one...

Yea too bad that 5 out of 5 are male. I'm only a few weeks until that point where I have to decide which one I'm keeping. Don't have the room for 5 giant male Midas in my house.

You should keep the dominant.

And, without venting, there is no way to be sure what you have....

I had a tough time with this creamsickleImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1368139180.070770.jpgthought for sure it was female when I vented a few weeks ago but his spike dropped yesterday and now I'm convinced its just the 5th male

Gotta hate beating the odds that way. Super cool fish. I want another red if I could find one here.

Me and my fiancée were just talking about it and its getting close to that terrible time when you have to thin the herd. The reason I'm dreading it is cuz I know what'll happen. They'll go into a 50 gal stock tank for sale and they'll tear each other apart. Maybe get fed a couple times a week, no dithers. Just 4 Midas with nothing to do but kill each other till there's only 1 left. It sucks

Just sell then cheap here or give them away to people who would want them.

Agreed. If you know they're going to kill each other, just post a thread in the Marketplace and give them away. Better than watching them beat each other to death.

BTW, they look amazing after just 2 months. That's a pretty large difference.
