So i called my LFS and they said they had 2 dels (the poly i wanted extremely bad). So couple days later my dad just randomly leaves to go to the store (i don't think much of it) so he calls and said he double cheacked and the dels had been reserved by a lady. He gets home and tells me my mom had reserved them for me lol and pulls 2 beautiful wild caught dels out of a bag so now i have 2 new 6 inch dels. I'll have pics soon they are acclimating right now.

I just took them out of the bag and it turns out 1 is a weeksi. But I am looking at my del right now and it seems to have some red on it's fins especially it's back 2 fins and a little on it's nose. Other than that it seems fine. It is wild caught but it has been in the Lfs in tank water for about 2-3 weeks now. I am also looking at the size proportion of the weeksi's mouth and the size of my 4 inch buettikoferi, and 3 inch sen. SHould i move them?
Pics and what the size of tank? Ur lucky that your parent would actually surprise you fish! Mine are quite the opposite! lol
Turns out it was my birthday present they just got them then because they were available and they had the time at that moment. The red on The delhezi is starting to go away. And even if it doesn't spread or go away i think the del with be fine because i threw some beefheart as a welcome treat and then i fed massivore pellets in the morning and silversides in the afternoon and the delhezi went all out on every everything lol. I will try my best to get pics but a family issue has come up and all the phone have had an influx of phone calls from insurance and lawyers etc..., The delhezi is looking good, the weeksi is looking even better. The tank size is a 75 with sand, plants, and great filtration. (plans of expansion have been put on hold because of academics and family related issues.) but i think I'll eventually upgrade but right now things are great. srry about the pics i will try to have them up as soon as possible.

Cool that you got a weeksi as well. They're well known for eating fish that shouldn't fit in their mouths so be careful. You also have a potential 24" fish on your hands, so a tank upgrade should be in the near future.
