I just got my titanium heaters in today that I was planning on using in my stock tank in the garage. I ordered 2 packages of each. Each package came with 2 500 watt heaters and 1 controller. The only thing is that the controller only has one plug going into it. My question is will putting both heaters on the same controller buy using a splitter still work? From what I have read it looks like the controller only sends power out until the sensor feels the right temperature.

it was 70 today wat do you need 1000w heater for

cause it isn't gonna stay 70 for long, It is supposed to get arctic this weekend. I have my koi and goldfish in the tank right now and my big cats in my 300. I need to switch them to give the cats more room cause they are 2 ft+ and the koi are only 6 inches. Nice to see somebody from austin though, I wasn't sure if there was anybody else from here. lol

are they 2 heaters on the same controller?

my titanium heaters had built in controllers. id say splitters are cheap try it. whats the worst that could happen. im willing to bet it works because the controller gets a signal that says "hey its cold in here allow power to the port" the power goes to the heater/s then it gets another signal that says "hey its to warm cuz power out" if your controller is rated for 1,000 go for it. some will say 500 or 1000 or whatever, just double check

Should work fine. I ran 2 heat emitters on 1 controller using a power strip for my reptiles. The sensor would have both on until it hit the right temp, Then both would shut down until the temp dropped again. Then they would both turn back on.

Thats how I figured they worked was by simply cutting power on and off. It is rated for up to 1200 watts so it has enough. The darn thing is just taking so long to heat. :/
