i run 2 Fx5s on my 330. each has polishers on the bottom and bio in the top two racks. Eventually i might get another Fx5 on the tank but for now its doing just fine. I did this because it was the easiest thing to setup. quick and simple. And i knew it would work. ive never made a sump and didnt want to risk drilling something wrong
I do not see a need to run 3 to accomplish seperate task. I run the Eheim 2250, 2262 along with the FX5 on my 200 but I do not have them performing seperate task.
+1 I run 2 eheims and a fluval on my 135 but I don't see the need to split filtration. I was under the assumption that each filter ran best with a stage of each, so as to slow water flow enugh to build beneficial bacteria, and polish water befor it gota back into the tank. I don't really see a benefit in running one for each just my opinion
