a customer dontated to tiger O's both have HITH and lateral line disease...i know normally both are caused by poor water quality and nutrition. i put them both in a 75 gal at work and have been doing 15%water cahnges each day to keep the water quality up. they eat a variety of foods including brineshrimp cubes, blood worms cube, cichlid flakes, hikari bio gold pellets, ghost shrimp. anything else i can do to help bring these two guys back to optimum health quicker. they are both 5years old and i dont want them to leave this world looking beat up and holey heads...thanks for any help

Euthanize Personal opinion of course...Improving water quality and diet is really the only thing you can do. Some will advise treating with metronidazole for secondary infections in the lesions. This certainly couldn't hurt once the diet and water quality is improved. Raising temp to encourage active feeding isn't a bad idea either.

heres what i've found vitamine defeciancy is related to hith .i treated my guy with all natural vitamines no heavy metals and made my own pelets with it fed once a day.
another way of getting it into them is grind up the vitamines get something the oscar jumps for like krill and bread the krill with powder,now heres the fun part hold the krill at the water line and let them grab them if they dont the water removes most of the powder..

clout is the only medication that has ever worked for me. it can be harmful to certain species of fish though.
they are both doing well they are slowloy losing their holes....i do 25% h2o changes daily us salt and rais temp and feed them krill, bloodworms, hikari, biogold, spirulina brine, and some tetra flakes...every day...good god i cant wait for them to be heald.
