2 Pairs of Green Terrors

Almost two months ago I purchased 4 green terrors when I saw them at a lfs over two weeks purchasing two a week being all that was in. Anyhow it seems there are two males and two females so I put a male with a female after feeling that I could tell a difference between them and it looks like maybe one pair has formed. Please correct me if you think ive sexed them wrong for I am not sure.

I found some photos from when i first got them the first week of july and later july 27 compared to the ones from today in the first post

If they do pair up now males around 4 1/2" females around 3" how will this affect their growth? would it be better to seperate the sexes to different tanks until they are larger? Im not interested in the fry because theres no where in this area to get rid of fish ... i thought it might be nice to have a large pair in a tank.
