HUGE and AGGRESSIVE, their energy is incredible. Very capable animal, and boy oh boy, do they get some TEETH! I hope there isn't anything else in there with it.... Could be a bad situation.

Thanks all ...... going in my 60 gallon tomorrow then planning on getting a 150 gallon in about 6 months for final destination.

I've seen them close to 20", so a 150 is a bit small, especially if you want more than just the 1 or 2 buttikoferi.
In rivers in Africa, they eat hippo feces as the hippos krapp them out, great recycling machines.
