Ok im explaining this in perfect details of my problem first cloudy water'
My tank is well enough cycled and established now all of a sudden my tank gets really cloudy. So im doing water changes I will fix the problem Im just trying to figure what caused my problem so i can avoid this in the future now filtration was fine over feedings wrong I actually don't feed much. My water checks out fine nothing high at all could it be calcium and phosphate build up thats what im wondering. Now a ungoing question how do I soften water now I know what ure gona ask y want soft water most fish can live in hard water.Because Im a picky breeder but its worth all the while just answer my qeustion how do I soften my water when its in the tank already without using peat moss.

2nd question I won't answer as I don't breed fish. However you are probably overstocked. If something is puzzling, keep it simple, it's often the first thing you think of. If your avatars anything to go by, I'm betting it's being overstocked that's causing cloudy water. Tank specs and fish + fish sizes...

So whats the stocking on the 75 and what filteration are your running. Also what is your substrate and does the water have a green tint? Some times you have to get a clear glass cup and take some water out and look at it that way.

Well filtration is emperor 400 power filter +under g filter plates/2 power heads, substrate is just black gravel 100 pounds what I have in it is 4 swordtails, 5 danios, 2 congo tetras, 4 blood fin tetra 1 neon tetra(I only got 1?), 1# 6 inch pleco a few guppies 1 crypt plant

As above poster, numbers - test them all we want to know what they are...

Also, I'm not calling you a liar but I find it hard to believe that's all you've got in a 75 gallon, especially if the water's cloudy! Something doesn't tie up. It must look empty!
