I just bought my second clown pleco (the other one is awesome so I got another) and he/she idk which seems to have taken to burrowing in the sand. Not quite burrowing, he just created a large crater and is content to sit in it. He moves around and visits other places every 10 mins, but always comes back to his crater. Is this normal? What does it mean?

Also I have a rhinohorn goby (in full fw, and he loves it) and hes a super social guy. He likes to tag along with my emerald cories and up until recently, swim around with my silver dollars. I replaced the SDs last week with rasboras, who generally stay in the upper part of the tank. Capt'n Skippers (thats the goby's name) still tries to chill with them but he kinda perfers to stay somewhere were he can sit instead of float. Are rhinohorns super territorial towards theyre own species? Is it ok to get maybe 1-2 more? Its in a 15 gal with plenty of hiding spaces.

Thanks!

A pleco in a 15? You have a bigger option for him soon? Hell push 2 feet...

Like Adri said, Clowns stay very small, I've never seen one bigger than 2 MAYBE 3". As for the digging, that's totally normal. Most of my plecos, including my clown, do this. It is just a way for them to establish their turf. Although they are not always territorial, they do like to have a place to call home.

I've never owned a rhinohorn but they look similar to the Knight Gobys that I used to have. I kept 3 of them in a tank and they were buds.

Both the clowns are only about 2.5 in. I'll sell on once they get bigger. Theyre just so great at eating all the algae that recently bloomed when I planted my tank. Them and the amano shrimp.
Ive read multiple articles that knight gobies are territorial as heck! How bigs is the tank they were in?

I just had them in a 55. They had some tankmates too. The key is just making sure there are enough "landmarks" so they can all establish separate territory. If they all have a place to call home, then they get along just fine.

Yh i noticed that actually. The other has claimed a spot under the fake anacharis and kicked the new guy out when he wandered too close. This guy found a spot underneath a broad anubias leaf and seems to be content.
