I got 2 teacups coming tomorrow. I have read a lot about them. My parameters have been perfect for about a week now (ammonia was at .25 last night) so I'll just do a water change tonight and get the gravel out of their new home. Anything I should be expecting? I'm going to mix the waters very slowly, I have blood worms and krill to feed them. (they are at 4-5") they have a 500 gallon pond in the basement I will move them to as soon as I build a filter and cycle it. I have never owned a stingray before but I have wanted them for almost a year and I have been researching them most of that time. I believe I'm ready. I'll post pictures tomorrow

If you have ammonia 0.25ppm = you do NOT have "perfect parameters". You probably do not have full cycled tank. What other parameters like NO3 and NO2 you have ? What filters are you using ? How long you have your tank ?

Make sure that you have cycled tank, retric are very sensitive rays, and the one most hard to keep.

GL !

How long have you been cycling the tank? Blood worms and krill they probably won't eat, better off going with black worms.

Yeah, you might be ok with any other fish, but rays especially retics are super sensitive to ammonia... i hope your tank is cycled.

What size tank are we talking about here? Could you get your hands on some bio from maybe your LFS to help out in your tank since it doesn't appear to be cycled yet?

its been up for months. it is cycled and the parameters were perfect until last night the .25 ammonia showed up out of no where. its just a 60 gallon grow out. they will only be in it for a month. i did a water change after work today and will be moving some fish out of the tank tonight
