They look good, but yes - a bit chubby! ;)

What are you feeding them, what kind of schedule?

Our Felix just moved to a larger tank too ... very happy! I was glad to see that the titanium heater is holding up well - he's using it as a toy these days!

Taka a look at the FishCam link, he's very swimmy right now ... :)

does one of them have gill curl... my baby cat has a pretty bad case of it but is living like any other cat with with a FH and creni.... he dominates the FH believe it or not

that fish needs a real tank, not a 110 grow out lol. he's already 20% monster. nice cats.

and if u want to rely on ur heaters, put them in the sump.

Your right, I didn't notice that before but your big guy does look like he has gill curl. This is usually caused by bad water conditions, make sure to keep up with water changes... sometimes if caught early enough you can get it to go back, I've also heard of massaging and trimming.... I don't know if yours is a bit late... don't let it get worse!

i have done everything to try and get my RTC's gill back but it doesnt seem too deteriorating on his health. He breathes at a close to normal speed and eats like a piggy RTC should. At this stage i the game with that size rtc its just a way of life to him.

This makes 3 RTC's with gill curl thriving on l\/lFK

nice RTCs but they have out grown the grow out tank time for an up grade i think

You guys have good eyes. The big guy has had one girl curled since I got him when he was about 3". I've tried like hell to get it to uncurl, but no success. I think it may be a birth defect rather than a condition from poor water quality. In any case, I don't think there's anything I can do about it.

He eats like a pig and is very active, so I don't think it's slowing him down. I keep the water very clean by overfiltrating and doing water changes all of the time. Feed them mostly raw shrimp. A bigger tank is in the works, but I think I've still got some time.
