Hi i am new here I have got 2 ornates in a 125gl only them nothing else and i had them for a few weeks they where like 3 inches when i got them now they look like they are over 4 inches and just a few days ago they started fighting one chases the other and literly shredded it's tail and now he always stays on the oposite side of the tank where as when they where smaller they stood together.....Thing is his tail actually is torn with parts missing! why are they fighting could they be two males? How can i stop this? should i get more of them will this help? Also do these things have teeth because his tail is shreded pretty good with chunks of the fins missing?

Any info would be great thanks.

They're likely to be fighting for territory and the simplest way to stop them is to separate them temporarily. Adding more might worsen the problem and yes, they do have teeth - like the rest of the predatory fishes.
