Hey everyone,

I recently aquarium a 30x16x16" wet dry and was thinking of plumbing my 90 and my new 85 together onto it. The tanks would be in an L shape against a protruding corner in a room and I was thinking of keeping the wet dry in between where the tanks meet.

I'm not worried about cross contamination or anything, the fish going in these tanks are fish I already own in the same tank already and I'm not planning on adding any fish.

The wet dry has two inputs going into it so I was thinking one for each tank, and I have a single 900gph little giant external pump that I was thinking of splitting the output off into each tank with gate valves to adjust flow. The new 85 is drilled on the bottom with an overflow tower, the 90 is not drilled and I don't want to drill it either if possible.

Thoughts?

That will work fine. I had a couple of 55s setup to test out how it would work, it went smooth for the 2-3 weeks it was running. I never did put it into use though as the sump got put on my 450g

No didn't really tinker with it much. Had an HOB overflow on each tank with each their own flexible tube. Wet/dry sump had inlets for two overflows. Return was setup with a "T" to go to each tank. I was going to go with two pumps just so I could shut off one tank if needed, but the same could be done with ball valves.

I'm very interested in this question aswell I have been thinking about a commercial style setup with some smaller tanks (growouts, shrimp, feeders) on top and a larger tank on bottom run off 1 canister, 1 main sump. While still being able to isolate a tank incase of needed treatment..

Sounds like you have everything you need :)
