I have a 2" male texas I just got last week in my 125 comm. tank, He's showing beeding pattern and looks like he's trying to court my female sajica. I thought this was way to small for a male texas to breed, any Info.

my pair have successfully spawned 5 times now. They started at 2.5" and are now around 3.5-4"
So yeah.. possible.

It seams crazy to me, He's just so small, but it looks like they've paired up and are defending their territory.
Yes indeed, totally possible, Texas can mature early on. Be careful because Texas cichlids can get really nasty to their tank mates when spawning. I know from experience!
