For those who run HOBs, have you found a good pairing of mechanical & bio-media that leave you with water that doesn't have a haze to it?
My (2) 110s on a 75g seem to leave me with a haze a few days after a water change? Not sure if it's my stocking or if I can tweak how the filter is currently running.

Current filter set-up in each 110 (bottom to top):
(2) seachem sponges - coarse to fine
(1) bag of bio rings

Current stock list:
(2) GTs - one is probably 3 - 3.5" & one is a SBGT that is ~4.5" but a thick guy
(1) Male salvini roughly 4.5 - 5"
(1) JD ~ 3.5"
(1) female convict ~ 3 - 3.5"

Nitrates never exceed 10ppm between water changes, and I do 70-80% water changes every 8-10 days.
I've also been lucky thus far keeping the plants alive.
(1) Larger amazon sword
(2) bolbitis ferns
(2) Melon swords
(3) Anubias nangi
(3) dwarf sword

From the picture (in the top right corner) you can see the haze. Is this being picky, or does anyone have suggestions for improving overall water clarity?

I keep Tidal 110s on most of my aquariums and I love them. In addition to what you have, I would add several layers of filter floss which you can replace when it becomes discolored. This should enhance your water clarity. Let us know if you see an improvement. On another note you also have room to add a few pot scrubber sponges to your filter which will enhance the amount of beneficial bacteria.
